
Amanda is a highly experienced educator and Orton-Gillingham specialist known for creating engaging, effective online lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning profile. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Science with a focus on Teacher Leadership, and is both a licensed classroom teacher and certified special educator. With over 17 years of experience, Amanda provides individualized, multisensory instruction in phonics, reading, reading comprehension, spelling, writing, grammar, fluency, and executive functioning skills. She has extensive training in research-based methodologies including Orton-Gillingham, advanced coursework from Fellows of the Orton-Gillingham Academy, the Wilson Reading System, and Visualizing & Verbalizing. Amanda’s lessons are structured, systematic, and highly interactive, incorporating intentional review, explicit instruction, and engaging practice to support lasting progress and confidence. Her deep instructional knowledge allows her to thoughtfully adapt lessons to meet each student’s specific strengths and areas of need. Amanda is known for her warm, organized, and encouraging approach, helping students feel successful, supported, and motivated in their learning.

Cynthia has helped students reach their full academic potential since 1999. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Education from California State University, Northridge. She has a Master's in Teaching from National University and is a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist, trained through the National Institute of Learning Development. Cynthia has spent over 20 years providing Educational Therapy to students in grades K-12. For the past five years, she has served as the Assistant Principal of Academics, assisting all types of students, including those with exceptional abilities. She specializes in working with twice-exceptional students, students with reading disabilities, ADHD, and poor executive functioning skills. She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method for reading remediation and in Lindamood-Bell's Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing program. When not working with students, Cynthia can spend time with her family, crocheting, reading, or camping.
