Stacy is a dedicated Education Specialist with 24 years of experience supporting students with learning challenges. Her career also includes roles as a school administrator and instructional coach. After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, she obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM). She spent six years teaching both upper and lower elementary grades before pursuing advanced studies. Stacy earned a Master of Arts in Reading Education and a Reading Specialist Credential from San Diego State University (SDSU).
Throughout her career, Stacy has taught literacy, study skills, and executive functioning at the K-12 level. She is extensively trained in evidence-based reading programs, including Lindamood-Bell’s Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing, as well as the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) programs in Phonological Awareness, Orton-Gillingham Comprehensive Plus, and Morphology Plus. Her expertise extends to supporting students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, Autism, dyscalculia, and other learning challenges.
In her free time, Stacy enjoys birdwatching with her son and exploring local areas, as well as renowned birding destinations around the world.
Kerry began her teaching journey at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and then pursued graduate studies at San Diego State University. She received both a multi-subject teaching credential and a credential for Learning Disabled Individuals. She began teaching with the San Diego Unified School District for five years and then at Mt. Helix Academy, where she taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade for seven years. Kerry has provided home-school pods for grades K-8 for years. She specializes in utilizing the Riggs program, which supports students in reading, writing, spelling, and thinking. She works with students from preschool through 8th grade, teaching language arts skills in an explicit, systematic, and evidence-based approach. Kerry is experienced in supporting students with ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, nonverbal learning disabilities, executive functioning, anxiety, and processing deficits. Kerry loves the freedom of integrating programs into her educational therapy curriculum and loves watching her students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Kerry considers teaching and working with students a gift and enjoys every moment with her students.
Heather is an experienced education professional with extensive expertise in special education, reading intervention, and school administration. With more than a decade of experience in both classroom and leadership roles, she has effectively supported students facing emotional and behavioral challenges, learning differences, and mental health needs. Heather holds a Master's degree as a Reading Specialist and a Bachelor's degree in Special and Elementary Education. She also possesses a Level II teaching certificate. She's trained in Lindamood-Bell's Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing programs as well as IMSE's Orton-GillinghamPlus program. Her strengths include individualized instruction, curriculum development, and fostering collaboration with students and their families. Heather specializes in working with learners of all ages, with a focus on reading, writing, and executive functioning skills.
Morgan is a Literacy Specialist dedicated to making education accessible and engaging. She works with students ages 6–21, supporting learners with ADHD, anxiety, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, language and processing disorders, and more. Drawing on training in the Lindamood-Bell LiPS program, the Wilson Reading System, and Handwriting Without Tears, she helps students build confidence, strengthen executive functioning, and develop lifelong strategies for success. Morgan earned her degree in Writing from Point Loma Nazarene University, where she also supported the Writing Center’s relaunch and worked individually with college students to improve their communication skills. She furthered her studies in literature and creative writing at the University of Oxford and is now pursuing an advanced degree in Writing. Beyond teaching, she enjoys horses, traveling, and learning new languages.
Hayley received her master’s degree in Museum Education and teaching credential from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Growing up in a family with educators, she knew early on that she wanted to work with kids to help them reach their academic potential. Her career has been focused on elementary education, teaching at some of the top private schools in New York City and Los Angeles. In 2017, she moved to San Diego with her family and she now calls San Diego home. Hayley served as a literacy specialist at a local private school for three years and she is trained in Orton-Gillingham, Handwriting Without Tears, and the Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum. She has also been trained in Peg Dawson's Executive Functioning program. Hayley specializes in working with K-8th grade students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ASD, executive functioning deficits, and anxiety. Hayley is committed to finding ways to personalize the student experience to allow her students to reach their potential and feel successful. Hayley lives in San Diego with her husband and two daughters. They love hiking, going to the beach together, trying new restaurants and exploring with their beautiful city.
Jennifer has a deep understanding of neurologically-different learners. As a homeschool teacher to 2e students during the pandemic, Jennifer ardently customized curriculum and teaching methods specific to the diverse learners with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, and Anxiety. A philomath by nature, she geeks out over cognitive differences in thinking and learning, and consequently became a certified teacher of the Arrowsmith Program. Jennifer is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, holds an IDA-accredited Dyslexia Certificate from the Dyslexia Training Institute, is a certified Dyscalculia Specialist, and has participated in Peg Dawson's Executive Functioning program. She received her BA from UCLA and is working towards an M.Ed. with an emphasis in Cognition in Education. Jennifer is also a member of the InLight Institute, an organization dedicated to enhancing the mental well-being of children. In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her family, teaching fitness, gardening, volunteering at school, cooking, baking, or basking in the sensational North County sunshine. Jennifer is committed to tailoring explicit, systematic, multisensory educational experiences that allow students to not only demonstrate what they know but also become independent, engaged, lifelong learners. Krista holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Diego State University, as well as a master’s degree in Reading Instruction. With over 20 years of experience in San Diego public schools, she has worked extensively with students across a broad range of academic and emotional needs. Krista has served as a Language Arts mentor teacher for grades 2 through 8 and specializes in small-group and 1-1 interventions. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham Plus and uses this evidence-based approach to effectively support students with ADHD, dysgraphia, Nonverbal LD, visual processing disorder, auditory processing disorder, dyslexia, and autism. Her experience across multiple grade levels also informs her strong work with students facing executive functioning challenges. Driven by a lifelong passion for literacy instruction, Krista is committed to fostering meaningful, supportive relationships with both students and families.
Mia completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and went on to earn both her teaching credential and master’s degree from UCSB. She then worked as an elementary teacher for eight years in both public and private schools in Santa Barbara and San Diego. During her time teaching, she enjoyed working with students during guided reading, Writers' Workshops, and math stations. The small-group and one-on-one instruction helped her see firsthand the impact of individualized teaching. Building on that experience, Mia pursued specialized training in the Wilson Reading Program, which is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, as well as LiPS by Lindamood-Bell, Barton, and Step-Up-to-Writing. Each day, she has the opportunity to connect with her students, build their confidence, and provide individualized support that helps them feel successful and empowered both in and outside of the classroom. In her free time, Mia enjoys swimming, traveling, and strength training!
Margot began tutoring 11 years ago and has loved helping students find joy in their ever since. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from USC in 2022 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, Margot spent a year teaching 7th and 8th grade math at a distinguished STEM school. During this experience, Margot received extensive experience working with students of all learning abilities. She provides tutoring support for middle and high school students in all sciences through Physics and math through Calculus. Darby is also a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoys supporting students needing Spanish and computer programming support. Margot is participating in research focusing on genetic engineering at UCSD as she prepares to begin her Ph.D. program. She enjoys hiking, finding new places to run, and volunteering with shelter dogs in her free time.
