Kerry started her teaching journey in San Diego at Point Loma Nazarene University and then went to San Diego State University for graduate school. She received both a multi-subject teaching credential and a Learning Disabled Credential. She began teaching with San Diego Unified School District for five years and then Mt. Helix Academy, where she taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade for seven years. Kerry has had years of providing home-school pods for grades K-8. She specializes in utilizing the Riggs program, which supports students in reading, writing, spelling, and thinking. She works with preschool through 8th-grade students, teaching language arts skills in an explicit, systematic, and evidence-based approach. Kerry is experienced in supporting students with ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, nonverbal learning disabilities, executive functioning, anxiety and processing deficits. Kerry loves the freedom of integrating programs into her educational therapy curriculum and loves watching her students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Kerry considers teaching and working with students a gift and enjoys every moment with her students.
Angela is an experienced education specialist with over 7 years of classroom teaching and intervention work. She is highly skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those struggling with reading, math, ADHD, and other learning challenges. Angela holds an MA in Education and is trained in Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell's Seeing Stars program, and other multisensory literacy strategies and early math interventions. She also has certifications in yoga and mindfulness for children, which she uses to support emotional regulation and focus in her students.
Currently enrolled in the Educational Therapy Certification program at UC Santa Cruz, Angela continually expands her expertise to serve her students better. She is skilled in developing individualized learning plans, providing case management, and offering parent education. Angela adapted to teaching a kindergarten pod during the pandemic, blending academic support with social-emotional learning.
With a deep commitment to creating supportive, engaging learning environments, Angela is dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential. Outside work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring San Diego with her son Anders.
Hayley received her master’s degree in Museum Education and teaching credential from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Growing up in a family with educators, she knew early on that she wanted to work with kids to help them reach their academic potential. Her career has been focused on elementary education, teaching at some of the top private schools in New York City and Los Angeles. In 2017, she moved to San Diego with her family and she now calls San Diego home. Hayley served as a literacy specialist at a local private school for three years and she is trained in Orton-Gillingham, Handwriting Without Tears, and the Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum. She has also been trained in Peg Dawson's Executive Functioning program. Hayley specializes in working with K-8th grade students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ASD, executive functioning deficits, and anxiety. Hayley is committed to finding ways to personalize the student experience to allow her students to reach their potential and feel successful. Hayley lives in San Diego with her husband and two daughters. They love hiking, going to the beach together, trying new restaurants and exploring with their beautiful city.
Jennifer has a deep understanding of neurologically-divergent learners. As a homeschool teacher to 2e students during the pandemic, Jennifer ardently customized curriculum and teaching methods specific to the diverse learners with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, and Anxiety. A philomath by nature, she geeks out over cognitive differences of thinking and learning, and consequently became a certified teacher of the Arrowsmith Program. Jennifer Is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, has an IDA-accredited Dyslexia Certificate from the Dyslexia Training Institute, is a Dyscalculia Specialist, and participated in Peg Dawson's Executive Functioning program. She received her BA from UCLA and is working towards a M.Ed emphasizing in Cognition in Education. Jennifer is also a member of the InLight institute, an organization focused on improving the mental wellness of children. In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her family, teaching fitness, gardening, volunteering at school, cooking, baking, or basking in the sensational North County sunshine. Jennifer is committed to tailoring explicit, systematic, multisensory educational experiences that allow students to not only show her what they know, but to also become independent, engaged, lifelong learners. Stacy is a dedicated Education Specialist with 24 years of experience supporting students with learning challenges. Her career also includes roles as a school administrator and instructional coach. After earning her bachelor’s degree from UC Davis, she obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). She spent six years teaching both upper and lower elementary grades before pursuing advanced studies. Stacy earned a Master of Arts in Reading Education and a Reading Specialist Credential from San Diego State University (SDSU).
Throughout her career, Stacy has taught literacy, study skills, and executive functioning at the K-12 level. She is extensively trained in evidence-based reading programs, including Lindamood-Bell’s Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing, as well as the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) programs in Phonological Awareness, Orton-Gillingham Comprehensive Plus, and Morphology Plus. Her expertise extends to supporting students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, Autism, dyscalculia, and other learning challenges.
In her free time, Stacy enjoys birdwatching with her son, exploring local areas and renowned birding destinations around the world.
Shivani has spent nine years in a private educational therapy practice working with children and adults with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Executive Functioning, and Auditory Processing Disorder. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics with a minor in Counseling and Social Change. Shivani also earned certifications in TESL/TEFL, the Interdisciplinary Study of Bilingualism, and Transcultural Communication from San Diego State University, along with a Certificate in Educational Therapy from the Indian Association of Educational Therapists. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Therapy at California State University-Northridge. Beyond her academic achievements, Shivani has volunteered with San Diego Refugee Tutoring and interned with the U.S. Department of State, focusing on their Children, Youth, and Families Portfolio. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, traveling, reading, hiking, and watching movies. Shivani is deeply passionate about educational therapy and dedicated to supporting students with learning disabilities.
Margot began tutoring 11 years ago and has loved helping students find joy in their ever since. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from USC in 2022 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, Margot spent a year teaching 7th and 8th grade math at a distinguished STEM school. During this experience, Margot received extensive experience working with students of all learning abilities. She provides tutoring support for middle and high school students in all sciences through Physics and math through Calculus. Darby is also a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoys supporting students needing Spanish and computer programming support. Margot is participating in research focusing on genetic engineering at UCSD as she prepares to begin her Ph.D. program. She enjoys hiking, finding new places to run, and volunteering with shelter dogs in her free time.
